Thank you for your recent feedback on the draft Community Safety Plan.

The plan was adopted by Council at the Ordinary Council Meeting held on Wednesday, June 12, 2024.

Your feedback helped us shape this plan, which identifies six focus areas to guide City actions, develop partnerships and advocate for funding.

These focus areas will assist Council when considering funding allocations and identifying advocacy efforts with state and federal governments and other agencies, who also share responsibility in addressing community safety.

Our internal implementation plan will establish our actions and funding priorities, and identify projects that require grant funding from external organisations to supplement our own contributions.

During consultations, you told us it is important to you that we keep you up to date on our projects in person and through our online channels, and we are committed to doing this.

We are currently considering the best ways to provide you project updates and good news stories and look forward to sharing them with you.
